FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...SOUTHERN KEMPER COUNTY...NORTHERN LAUDERDALE COUNTY
 
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE OVER SOUTHERN KEMPER AND NORTHERN
LAUDERDALE COUNTIES. RADAR INDICATES THAT RAINFALL AMOUNTS AVERAGING
BETWEEN ONE AND THREE INCHES LIKELY OCCURRED OVER THE AREA THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE RECENT RAINFALL PRODUCED LOCALIZED FLOODING.
ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES AN HOUR ARE
POSSIBLE THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING AND WILL ADD TO RUNNOFF AND FLOODING
PROBLEMS IN THE AREA. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS WILL RESULT IN PONDING OF
WATER IN LOW AREAS AND RAPID RISES IN SMALL STREAMS. IF FLOODING OCCURS
IN YOUR AREA...GO TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS BRIDGES OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROAD.  NEVER
TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
