SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  845 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE THROUGH PALMER BY 810 PM...AND
STRETCH ALONG HIGHWAY 92 FROM ST. PAUL TO CENTRAL CITY BY 820 PM...
 
AT 751...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHED FROM CUSHING TO NEAR FULLERTON
WHICH IS ABOUT 25 MILES NORTHEAST OF GRAND ISLAND.  THE STORMS WERE MOVI
SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH AND COULD PRODUCE HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER
AND WINDS NEAR 70 MPH.  IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THE STORM MOVE INDOORS
IMMEDIATEDLY FOR PROTECTION.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE

CHANCES OF TRW TONIGHT AND TIMING OF FRONT PRIMARY CONCERNS TAFTN.

18Z SFC ANAL SHOWED A LOW IN SW NEB/NW KS WITH A STRONG MOIST SLY
FLOW INTO THE CWA. I PLACED THE WARM FRONT MUCH FURTHER TO THE NORTH
THAN THE 90F CLOSER TO THE 60 DEW POINT LINE WHICH ALSO LINED UP
BETTER WITH THE LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE. THE COLD FRONT WAS LOCATED
FROM THE WRN DAKOTAS SOUTH INTO THE LOW. ALOFT SIG 7H S/W MOVG THRU
THE AREA THIS MORNING AND PLENTY OF 8H MOISTURE.

MODELS CONTINUE TO BUILD A WEAK RIDGE OVER TIME TO THE NORTH OF THE AREA
AND ARE IN FAIRLY GOOD AGREEMENT. LOOKS LIKE THE FRONT SHOULD PUSH THRU
THE NEB CWA BY EARLY TOMRROW MORNING AND THE KS CWA LATER IN THE DAY IF
AT ALL. FRONT MAY STALL OUT IN KS AND IS WHY QPFS CONTINUE INTO WED AS
THERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE A STRONG SOUTHERLY FLOW INTO THE FRONT.
FOR TONIGHT AIRMASS CONTINUES TO BECOME MORE UNSTABLE WITH AFTN HEATNG.
CAPES FROM MODELS INDICATE WELL OVER 3000 AND VEERING WINDS FROM THE
VAD WIND PROFILERS. APPEARS TO ME THE BEST CHANCE OF SVR WX TONIGHT
SHOULD BE AHEAD OF THE WARM FRONT IN SRN MN/NRN IA BUT THE CWA WILL
PROBABLY HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF SOME STORMS. IF FRONT DOES STALL OUT
THEN WE SHOULD PROBABLY KEEP SOME MENTION OF PRECIPITAION GOING IN
THE FORECAST.
