000 TTAA00 KFTW 250902 FFWFTW TXC363-367-251100- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 302 AM CST TUE MAR 25 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...PALO PINTO COUNTY...PARKER COUNTY AT 302 AM CST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM SHERMAN TO FORT WORTH TO BRECKENRIDGE. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IN THIS AREA OF PRECIPITATION WAS OCCURRING ACROSS PARKER AND PALO PINTO COUNTIES. RADAR ESTIMATES TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS THIS AREA IN A FEW HOURS AND ANY FURTHER RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN FLOODING. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
