FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...BOSQUE COUNTY...HAMILTON COUNTY...HILL COUNTY...MILLS COUNTY
 
AT 825 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A 30 TO
40 MILE WIDE BAND OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM ITASCA TO 15 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF HAMILTON TO SAN SABA. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT 1 TO 2 INCHES
OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN ACROSS MUCH OF MILLS AND HAMILTON COUNTIES AND
THE NORTHERN PARTS OF HILL AND HAMILTON COUNTIES. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2
INCHES OF RAIN BETWEEN NOW AND MIDNIGHT WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
