THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...FANNIN COUNTY
 
AT 315 PM...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS WEST OF BONHAM...OR OVER MUCH OF THE WESTERN PORTION OF
THE COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE REMAINED OVER THIS SAME AREA FOR
ALMOST TWO HOURS AND RAINFALL AMOUNTS APPROACHING 5 INCHES IS ESTIMATED
BY RADAR TO HAVE FALLEN NEAR ECTOR AND SAVOY. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN
APPEARS LIKELY OVER THE NEXT HOUR AND FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED TO
DEVELOP.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
