THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  245 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHEAST TEXAS
 
   ...ANDERSON COUNTY
 
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR ANDERSON COUNTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 245
PM CDT THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
 
AT 1043 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER A LARGE PART OF EAST
CENTRAL NORTH TEXAS...GENERALLY FROM WACO TO TYLER AND EASTWARD.
RAINFALL RATES WERE AVERAGING BETWEEN ONE HALF AND ONE INCH PER
HOUR OVER AREAS THAT HAD RECEIVED SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN IN THE PAST
FEW DAYS.
 
IN ANDERSON COUNTY...HEAVY RAINS ON THURSDAY LEFT GROUNDS
SATURATED...RESULTING IN ALMOST TOTAL RUNOFF FROM ADDITIONAL RAINS.
NUMEROUS ROADS ARE CLOSED TODAY DUE TO WATER OVER ROADWAYS...AND CONDITI
SWILL NOT IMPROVE FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
 
WITH THE RAINS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE UNTIL AT LEAST EARLY
AFTERNOON...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN TWO AND THREE INCHES CAN
BE EXPECTED IN ANDERSON COUNTY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
