000 TTAA00 KFTW 192254 FFWFTW TXC085-231-200100- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 454 PM CST WED FEB 19 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...COLLIN COUNTY...HUNT COUNTY NUMEROUS ROADS IN PLANO AND THROUGHOUT COLLIN COUNTIES ARE FLOODED AND IMPASSABLE. BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER COLLIN AND HUNT COUNTIES THIS AFTERNOON...WITH NEAR 4 INCHES INDICATED BY RADAR OVER EASTERN COLLIN COUNTY. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING. MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
