NORTHERN ARIZONA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FLAGSTAFF AZ 850 AM MST TUE AUG 26 1997 COMPUTER PROBLEMS PREVENTING A LOOK AT ANY NEW MODEL OR SATELLITE DATA. REGARDLESS...88D TRENDS SHOW THE CURRENT FORECAST IS WORKING OUT OK. HAVE BEEN FOCUSING ON EASTERN YAVAPAI COUNTY AND WESTERN GILA COUNTY THIS MORNING AS THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO TRAIN OVER THIS REGION...WHICH PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF RAIN LATE YESTERDAY AND OVERNIGHT. BEST STREAM OF DEEP MOISTURE IS OVER THIS REGION AS WELL. FLASH FLOOD WATCH WAS UPDATED EARLIER FOR AN EARLIER START AND THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA. CALLS TO THE AREA INDICATE WASHES AND CREEKS ARE RUNNING PRETTY FULL SO IT WILL NOT TAKE MUCH MORET RAIN TO PUSH SOME OF THEM OUT OF THEIR BANKS. SHOULD BE A BUSY DAY.
