BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY ALL MORNING FOR THE CU TO DO THEIR THING. THIS
AFTERNOON IS KEEPING US BUSY...THE WX FOR WEDS LOOKS MERELY OKAY IN
TERMS OF EXCITEMENT. THE QUESTION IS: WHAT ABOUT THURSDAY? THE 12Z
ETA REALLY TRIES TO DO A DRYING NUMBER ON US BY THEN. THE NGM ALSO
PROGS A DRYING TREND...BUT LATER IN TIME AND AT HIGHER LEVELS.

WATER VAPOR IMAGERY OVER THE ERN PAC SHOWS LOTS OF DRY AIR THAT WILL
MAKE ITS WAY TO AZ BY THURSDAY. THE MORNING MODELS ARE CONSISTENT
WITH DEVELOPING A LOW LEVEL WESTERLY FLOW THAT BRINGS THE DRY AIR TO
OUR CWA. WILL TREND THE AFTN FORECAST THIS WAY...BUT WILL KEEP
SCATTERED POPS THROUGH THURSDAY FOR THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE RIM
COUNTRY. ELSEWHERE...WILL TONE DOWN THE EXPECTED WX WITH SLIGHT
CHANCE WORDING ALONG THE LOWER TERRAIN OF ZONES 9 & 12-14...REMAINING
LOCATIONS COVERED WELL WITH LOW SCATTERED/CHANCE POPS AND WORDING.

TEMPS...AFTERNOON HIGHS EXPECTED TO WARM A FEW DEGREES PER DAY. IM
EXPECTING THE DIURNAL EFFECT TO CLEAR OUT THE SKIES TONIGHT MORE SO
THAN LAST NIGHT...SO WILL GO WITH COOLER LOW TEMPS. NOT MUCH CHANGE
EXPECTED WEDS NIGHT. WINDS WILL CHANGE DIRECTION TO THE SW THEN WEST
BY THURSDAY. SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LESS THAN 15 MPH...SO NO MAJOR
CONCERNS HERE.
