RAIN SHOWERS CONTINUED LAST NIGHT FOR A NICE CHANGE IN THE WEATHER FOR THE NORTHLAND. TODAY NRN AZ WILL BEGIN A MORE TYPICAL RAIN PATTERN WITH DAYTIME CONVECTION AND NIGHTTIME CLEARING...AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS WILL TAKE US THROUGH THE WEEK. TODAY SHOULD BE AN INTERESTING DAY...THE MODIFIED 12Z SOUNDING AT FGZ REACHES A CAPE OF 1600 J/KG...LIS AT -4...SO ITS JUST A WAITING GAME AT THIS POINT. CONVECTION SHOULD BEGIN NEAR THE WHITE MTNS BY 18Z...AND THE WRN MOGOLLON RIM BY 19-20Z. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND SMALL HAIL ARE LIKELY TO BE THE MAIN WX PLAYERS FOR US SURFACE DWELLERS. THE REST OF THE FORECAST LOOKS PRETTY STRAIGHTFORWARD...HIGH SCATTERED POPS ALONG THE RIM COUNTRY SHOULD COVER THINGS WITH CLEARING AT NIGHT...LOW SCATTERED ELSEWHERE.
