000 TTAA00 KFLG 101726 FFWFLG AZC005-101810- BULLTIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FLAGSTAFF AZ 1025 AM MST SUN AUG 10 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FLAGSTAFF AZ HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1110 AM MST AND A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1110 AM MST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL ARIZONA ...NORTHWESTERN COCONINO COUNTY AT 1120 AM MST SUPAI POLICE REPORTED FLOODING OF SUPAI VILLAGE ALONG CATARACT CREEK. THE THUNDERSTORM THAT WAS CAUSING THE FLOODING WAS REDEVELOPING TO THE WEST OF THE VILLAGE OF SUPAI AND MORE RAIN IS EXPECTED FOR THE AREA. DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATED THAT RAINFALL RATES OVER TWO INCHES AN HOUR WAS OCCURING WITH THIS STORM. PEOPLE ALONG CATARACT CREEK SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. PEOPLE IN THE VILLAGE OF SUPAI SHOULD MONITOR FLOOD CONDITIONS...AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND...SHOULD FLOODWATERS THREATEN. &
