THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  630 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...EDWARDS COUNTY...REAL COUNTY
 
AT 415 PM...RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING OVER
2 INCHES PER HOUR RAINFALL BETWEEN CARTA VALLEY AND ROCKSPRINGS.
ALSO BETWEEN CAMPWOOD AND LEAKEY.
 
THE STORMS HAVE REMAINED ARE SHOWING LITTLE MOVEMENT AND RADAR
ESTIMATED RAINFALL WAS 2 TO 3 INCHES.  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL
PRODUCE FLOODING.
 
IN EDWARDS COUNTY...HIGHWAY 377 NEAR CARTA VALLEY MAY BE FLOODING.
RANCH ROADS WEST OF HIGHWAY 55 BETWEEN BARKSDALE AND ROCKSPRINGS
MAY ALSO BE FLOODED.
 
IN REAL COUNTY...HIGHWAY 337 BETWEEN LEAKEY AND CAMPWOOD MAY BE
FLOODING.  THIS RAIN WILL DRAIN INTO THE NUECES RIVER...CAMP WOOD
CREEK AND DRAWS SOUTH AND WEST OF LEAKEY.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND IF YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
