FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  430 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...LAVACA COUNTY
 
DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING
THROUGH LAVACA COUNTY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE THROUGH
LAVACA COUNTY FOR NEXT HOUR. RAINFALL RATES NEAR 2 INCH PER HOUR HAVE
BEEN REPORTED. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION AND DO NOT
DRIVE THROUGH LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND IF YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.

CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
