THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  330 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...BEXAR COUNTY
 
AT 1220 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS FROM UVALDE TO HONDO TO NEW BRAUNFELS MOVING TO THE SOUTHE
TAT 15 MPH. RADAR ESTIMATES 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN FROM
BULVERDE SOUTHWESTWARD TO LEON VALLEY. LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND LOW LYING
AREAS ACROSS NORTHERN BEXAR COUNTY ARE LIKELY ALREADY FILLING WITH
RUNOFF FROM RAIN. ADDITIONAL RAIN EXPECTED IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO WILL
SPREAD ACROSS THE COUNTY ADDING TO THE FLOODING THREAT.
 
MOTORISTS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION DRIVING ACROSS BEXAR COUNTY THIS
MORNING.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
