TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY......
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...WESTERN NUECES COUNTY
 
AT 625 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
A TORNADO LOCATED 6 MILES TO THE WEST OF ROBSTOWN. THE THUNDERSTORM
ASSOCIATED WITH THIS STORM IS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.
 
DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL IS LIKELY WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM ALONG WITH
HEAVY RAINFALL.
 
NUECES COUNTY SHERIFF REPORT OF A COLLAPSED HOUSE IN THE WESTERN
PORTION OF THE COUNTY DUE TO STRONG WIND.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES

VERY UNSTABLE AIRMASS WITH MODIFIED SOUNDING PRODUCING A CAPE OF
NEAR 6500...LI OF -12 AND CAP OF 1.0. THIS UNSTABLE AIRMASS WILL
KEEP TSRA GOING WELL INTO TONIGHT.  TSRA WILL SLIDE INTO THE VCT
AREA BY 4 PM AND CONTINUE TO SLIDE SOUTHWARD HOWEVER AT THE SAME
TIME OTHER SCATTERED STRONG TSRA WILL BUILD FURTHER TO THE WEST.
WITH THIS TYPE UNSTABLE ENVIROMENT..SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE ALONG
WITH FLASH FLOODING FOR VCT ZONES SO WILL KEEP WATCH UP TONIGHT.
AFTER TONIGHT MAIN UPPER LOW PUSHES NORTHEAST TO THE OHIO VALLEY
HOWEVER WEAK SFC TROUGH REMAINS IN THE AREA ALONG WITH MESOSCALE
BOUNDRIES FROM TODAYS STORMS...WILL NEED TO KEEP LOW POPS IN THE
ZONES THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

DUE TO THE HIGH TEMPS AND DEWPOINTS...HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT
THIS AFTERNOON FOR CENTRAL AND EASTERN PARTS OF SOUTH TEXAS.
