IN SOUTH CAROLINA ...NORTHWESTERN CALHOUN COUNTY WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN CALHOUN COUNTY JUST WEST OF THE SANDY RUN AREA. THIS STORM WAS DRIFTING EAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH. THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM THIS STORM IS LARGE HAIL. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
