IN NORTHERN NEW YORK ...JEFFERSON COUNTY AT 225 PM DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN A LINE FROM NEAR THE THOUSAND ISLAND TO EASTERN LAKE ONTARIO SOUTH OF KINGSTON. THE LINE WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR. THE STORMS WILL REACH WATERTOWN BETWEEN 3 AND 315 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH AND/OR HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER. FOR YOUR PROTECTION FROM POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WINDS...MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.
