000 TTAA00 KBRO 131340 RRA SVRBRO TXC061-131530- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BROWNSVILLE TX 926 AM CDT MON OCT 13 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...... IN SOUTH TEXAS ...CAMERON COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF THE LOWER TEXAS COAST THE BAY WATERS OF THE LAGUNA MADRE AT 920 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN BROWNSVILLE SHOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL CAMERON COUNTY NEAR THE RIO HONDO AREA. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH AND HAVE PRODUCED DAMAGING WINDS IN THE MISSION AREA OF HIDALGO COUNTY. RESIDENTS OF CAMERON COUNTY SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR DAMAGING WINDS THROUGH 1030 AM. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING.
