THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

IN NORTHEAST COLORADO
     LOGAN

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
     STERLING...ATWOOD...CROOK...FLEMING...ILIFF...NORTH STERLING
     RESERVOIR...PADRONI...PEETZ...PROCTOR...ST PETERSBURG AND TWIN
     BUTTES

AT 357 PM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM WITH A POSSIBLE TORNADO 3 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ILIFF...OR 
ABOUT 8 MILES NORTHEAST OF STERLING.  ANOTHER STORM WAS ABOUT 20 
MILES NORTHEAST OF STERLING.  BOTH STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT ABOUT 
10 MPH.  

A SPOTTER REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD 6 SOUTH OF STERLING AT ABOUT 400 
PM.  

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
