THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 345 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

IN NORTHEAST COLORADO
     NORTHEASTERN WELD AND NORTHWESTERN LOGAN

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
     WESTPLAINS

AT 310 PM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A 
THUNDERSTORM WITH A POSSIBLE TORNADO 17 MILES NORTHWEST OF 
WESTPLAINS...OR ABOUT 38 MILES NORTHWEST OF STERLING.

THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES PER HOUR.

THIS STORM HAS ALREADY PRODUCED AT LEAST TWO TORNADOES IN THE 
NEBRASKA PANHANDLE AND WILL CROSS THE COLORADO STATE LINE AFTER 315 
PM.  LARGE HAIL HAS ALSO FALLEN FROM THIS STORM.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED
BUILDING. AS A LAST RESORT...SEEK SHELTER IN A CULVERT...DITCH OR LOW
SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS

INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
