IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO ...EASTERN GUADALUPE COUNTY AT 452 PM MST...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY DOPPLER RADAR 16 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF CUERVO MOVING NORTH AT 23 MPH. ANOTHER SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR NEWKIRK AND WAS ALSO MOVING NORTH AT 23 MPH. SOME LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS ARE...CUERVO...LOS TANOS AND NEWKIRK. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH... DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION...MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

SUFFICIENT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS COUPLED WITH AN INCREASING UNSTBLE AIRMASS COULD LEAD TO THE FORMATION OF AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS SOME POSSIBLE SEVERE.
