000 TTAA00 KABQ 110112 RRA SVRABQ NMC005-110210- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM 712 PM MDT TUE JUN 10 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 810 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO ...SOUTHERN CHAVES COUNTY AT 707 PM MDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY DOPPLER RADAR 9 MILES SOUTH OF VILLA SOLANO SCHOOL...OR ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF LAKE ARTHUR. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT AROUND 15 MPH AND WILL APPROACH LAKE ARTHUR BETWEEN 745 AND 800 PM. LARGE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS ARE THE PRIMARY THREAT WITH THIS STORM. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
