IN EAST ARIZONA ...EAST CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTY...CENTRAL GREENLEE COUNTY AT 525 PM...TUCSON DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER CENTRAL GREENLEE COUNTY 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF CLIFTON. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHWEST AT 15 MPH INTO EASTERN GRAHAM COUNTY. THIS STORM MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN...LARGE HAIL ...DAMAGING WINDS...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. SOUTHEAST ARIZONA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON AZ 220 PM MST WED AUG 28 1996 THINGS NOT LOOKING QUITE AS IMPRESSIVE THIS AFTN AS THEY WERE YESTERDAY AT THIS TIME. LOWER ATMOSPHERE A LITTLE DRIER THAN YESTERDAY ALONG WITH STRONGER CAP AROUND H5. EARLY AFTN ACTIVITY HAS BEEN ISOLATED WITH NO ORGANIZATION. HOWEVER...STILL ENUF INSTABILITY AROUND SO EXPECT AT LEAST WIDELY SCTD ACTIVITY FOR LATE AFTN AND EVE. WILL HAVE TO KEEP AN EYE ON POSSIBLE BOUNDARY INTERACTION FROM MORE ORGANIZED ACTIVITY IN SW NEW MEX AND POSSIBLY FROM OUTFLOWS OFF THE RIM FOR MORE WIDESPREAD CONVECTION OVER CWA. IF THIS HAPPENS WE MAY AGAIN SEE NIGHTTIME STORMS OVER WESTERN PART OF CWA. MODELS SHIFT UPPER HIGH TO S NEVADA/NW AZ FOR NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WITH H5 FLOW TO BE E-NE. MEAN RH TO DECREASE A LITTLE MORE ON THURSDAY WITH LITTLE CHANGE ON FRIDAY.
