SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING

FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA

AT 215 PM TUCSON DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WITH EXTREMELY HEAVY RAINFALL AND INTENSE LIGHTNING IN THE
CATALINA MOUNTAINS.  A RAIN GAGE HAS INDICATED ABOUT ONE AND
A HALF INCHES OF RAINFALL IN 30 MINUTES NEAR PALISADES AND
SUMMERHAVEN. RADAR HAS INDICATED AREAS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES OVER
AREAS OF THE CATALINA HWY. THESE STORMS MAY ALSO PRODUCE INTENSE
LIGHTNING AND VERY STORNG WIND.
 
MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.b  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A
SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
