EASTERN OKLAHOMA/NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 900 PM CDT SUN MAY 26 1996 STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS AFFECTING THE AREA AND AFOS AND 88D PROBLEMS NOT HELPING AT ALL. NO UPPER AIR OR SFC MAPS WERE AVAILABLE TO ANALYZE TONIGHT. NO PROFILERS EITHER. RADAR AND SATELLITE TRENDS OVER THE LAST FEW HOURS SHOWS THAT MOST OF THE STORMS WILL TRACK OVER THE NRN HALF OF THE AREA THROUGH THE EVENING BUT WILL DEVELOP S AFTER AROUND MIDNIGHT. STORMS THAT TRIED TO DEVELOP FURTHER SOUTH OVER NTX DISSIPATED EARLIER BUT NEW STORMS NOW GOING UP ALONG A LINE FROM OKC TO SPS. 00Z MAPS AND MESONET ANALYSES SHOW THE DRY LINE STILL OVER WRN OK...SO REDEVELOPMENT OUT WEST A GOOD POSSIBILITY THRU THE NIGHT. MESONET DEWPOINTS 70-75 AND MAPS LI REMAINS AROUND -6 OVER ALL OF ERN OK. WILL KEEP SVR GOING IN ALL ZONES. RAINFALL AMOUNTS NOT VERY HIGH WITH STORMS MOVING AT 40+ MPH BUT STORMS OF LATE HAVE BEEN REDEVELOPING/MOVINGr OVER THE SAME AREAS.
