000 TTAA00 KTOP 230431 SVRTOP KSC013-085-131-230515- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TOPEKA KS 1132 PM CDT WED MAY 22 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHEAST KANSAS ...BROWN COUNTY...NORTHERN JACKSON COUNTY ...EASTERN NEMAHA COUNTY AT 1130PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TO THE SOUTHWEST OF HIAWATHA NEAR BANCROFT AND TO THE WEST OF HIAWATHA NEAR WOODLAWN. THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AROUND 30 MPH. PRESENT MOVEMENT WILL BRING STORMS OVER CIRCLEVILLE HIWATHA AND WETMORE BY 1215AM. THIS WARNING REPLACES THE EARLIER WARNING FOR BROWN COUNTY THAT WAS DUE TO EXPIRE AT MIDNIGHT. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM! STAY INDOORS AWAY FROM WINDOWS!
