THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHWEST UTAH

   ...WASHINGTON COUNTY

AT 935 PM THE AUTOMATIC OBSERVING STATION AT ST GEORGE REPORTED A
GUST TO 53 MPH AND AT 956 PM AN OBSERVER AT WASHINGTON CITY 5 MILES
NORTHEAST OF ST GEORGE ESTIMATED GUSTS FROM THUNDERSTORMS AT 60-70
MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 10-15 MPH. THE THREAT OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND ESPECIALLY GUSTS TO 60 MPH COULD EFFECT ANY
LOCATION IN WASHINGTON COUNTY FOR THE NEXT HOUR.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 57 MPH... AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES YOUR AREA...SEEK

...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHWEST UTAH...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP OVER
SOUTHWEST UTAH.  THIS IS THE RESULT OF A MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS
COMBINING WITH A COLD FRONT MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST THROUGH SOUTHWEST
UTAH.  SOME OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY
RAIN...SMALL HAIL...AND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.  IN ADDITION...DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING WILL BE A THREAT FROM ALL THUNDERSTORMS.  THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL MAINTAIN THEIR STRENGTH UNTIL ABOUT MIDNIGHT
BEFORE WEAKENING.
