000 WUUS1 KCRW 252100 RRA SVRCRW OHC167-WVC073-107-252145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV 359 PM EST MON MAR 25 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...S... IN SOUTHEAST OHIO ...WASHINGTON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST WEST VIRGINIA ...PLEASANTS COUNTY...WOOD COUNTY RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY, OHIO AS WELL AS WOOD AND PLEASANTS COUNTIES IN WEST VIRGINIA. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH AND IS ESSENTIALLY FOLLOWING THE OHIO RIVER. VERY STRONG WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH ARE POSSIBLE AS WELL AS 3/4 INCH HAIL. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA QUICKLY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
