FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...SOUTHERN MCDOWELL COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAINFALL FROM THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL CAUSE CREEKS AND SMALLER
STREAMS IN THE PATH OF THE THUNDERSTORMS TO QUICKLY RISE AND COME OUT OF
THEIR BANKS THIS AFTERNOON. BECAUSE RAINS OF 1 1/2 TO 2 1/2 INCHES IN
ONE HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED IN SOME PLACES THE WATER WILL RISE VERY QUICKLY
SO DO NOT BE TAKEN BY SURPRISE.
 
MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
