FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTHWEST WEST VIRGINIA

A WEATHER SERVICE COOPERATIVE OBSERVER REPORTED THAT 1.21 INCHES OF RAIN
HAS FALLEN IN MADISON IN 25 MINUTES. THIS RAINFALL HAS CAUSED STREET TO
FLOOD IN MADISON. WEATHER RADAR SHOWED THAT ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS
WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION THIS EVENING AND THE ADDED RAINFALL WILL
CAUSE STREAMS AND CREEKS TO RISE RAPIDLY OUT OF THEIR BANKS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
