HEAVY OVERNIGHT RAINFALL OF 1.00 TO 1.75 INCHES IN POCAHONTAS AND
RANDOLPH COUNTIES HAS CAUSED A SHARP RISE ON SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS IN
THESE COUNTIES. SEVERAL IFLOWS GAGES IN RANDOLPH COUNTY INDICATED NEAR
TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL IN THE LAST 9 HOURS. SOME STREAMS ARE AT OR NEAR
BANKFULL.
 
AN AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WAS MOVING NORTH INTO THIS AREA
AT 1015 AM. ANOTHER ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN MAY FALL DURING THE
NEXT TWO TO THREE HOURS. THIS WILL BE ENOUGH TO CAUSE MANY SMALL STREAMS
TO OVERFLOW.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUD SLIDES.
