FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTHWEST WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...BOONE COUNTY
 
AT 9:30 AM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED ONE AND HALF TO TWO INCHES OF
RAIN HAD FALLEN IN ONE HOUR OVER CENTRAL BOONE COUNTY. PROBLEMS CAN BE
EXPECTED ALONG THE STREAMS IN THE WILLIAMS MOUNTAIN AREA STRETCHING TO
NEAR BIGSON AND LANTA. THIS WILL EFFECT STREAMS SUCH AS LICK BRANCH,
CABIN CREAK, HORSE HOLLOW, ROBINSON CREAK, BENNETT FORK, AND OTHER
STREAMS IN THE AREA.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. WATCH OUT FOR MUD SLIDES.
