THE MODERATE TO HEAVY THAT FELL OVERNIGHT HAS CAUSED SOME OF THE SMALL
STREAMS TO RISE QUICKLY OUT OF THEIR BANKS. IN WOOD COUNTY THE FOLLOWING
ROADS ARE REPORTED BLOCKED DUE TO HIGH WATER...BIG TYGART...POND
CREEK...KANAWHA RIVER...STILLWILL...NICOLETTE...JERRYS RUN.
 
IN WIRT COUNTY...BARFIELD RIDGE ROAD HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED CLOSED.
 
THE HEAVY RAIN WILL COME QUICKLY TO AN END AROUND BETWEEN 7AM AND 8AM.
THE CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL THEN BEGIN TO QUICKLY RECEDE.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
