THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  615 PM PDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONSS...

IN WEST NEVADA

   ...NORTHWESTERN CHURCHILL COUNTY...NORTHERN LYON COUNTY...
      AND SOUTHEASTERN WASHOE

AT 500 PM PDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN NORTHERN
LYON COUNTY BETWEEN THE TOWNS OF SILVER SPRINGS AND FERNLEY. THIS STORM
IS MOVING NORTH AT 15 MPH AND IS EXPECTED TO CROSS I-80 NEAR FERNLEY BY
530 PM. THE STORM WILL ALSO CROSS THE TOWN OF WADSWORTH...AND THE TOWN
OF NIXON BY 600 PM. BOATERS ON PYRAMID LAKE SHOULD EXPECT STRONG GUSTY
WINDS FROM THIS THUNDERSTORM AND SHOULD BE CAUTIOUS.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTN"ING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
