FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM PDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN WESTERN NEVADA

   ...SOUTHEASTERN WASHOE COUNTY
   ...CENTRAL LYON COUNTY

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN
IN SOUTHEAST WASHOE COUNTY AND CENTRAL LYON COUNTIES UNTIL AROUND 815
PM.  THE WARNING EFFECT MAINLY THE PAH RAH MOUNTAINS EAST OF SPARKS
AND THE PYRAMID HIGHWAY IN WASHOE COUNTY AND THE WABUSKA AREA IN
LYON COUNTY.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MANY FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIG
HER GROUND.

A WEATHER SPOTTER IN PALAMINO VALLEY IN SOUTHEAST WASHOE COUNTY
REPORTED THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF RAIN IN 30 MINUTES.
WATER HAS BEEN REPORTED TO BE RUNNING OFF ALONG THE PYRAMID
HIGHWAY JUST WEST OF THE PAH RAH MOUNTAINS.
