NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 740 PM EDT MON MAY 27 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...FRANKLIN COUNTY AT 738 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED ANOTHER SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO FRANKLIN COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. THIS WARNING EXTENDS THE PREVIOUS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING WHICH WAS DUE TO EXPIRE AT 745. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND.
