ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE HAS RETURNED TO THE EASTERN COLORADO
FOOTHILLS AND POINTS EASTWARD TO THE KANSAS BORDER.
DEWPOINTS...A MEASURE OF THE MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE...WERE IN
THE 50S AND 60S ACROSS MUCH OF THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS AT NOON.

WARM TEMPERATURES ALOFT WILL INHIBIT THUNDERSTORM FORMATION
DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS.  HOWEVER...BY MID AND LATE
AFTERNOON...ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE VICINITY OF A DEVELOPING SURFACE LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM IN EXTREME SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE...PRODUCING 3/4 INCH
DIAMETER OR LARGER HAIL...WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AND
ISOLATED TORNADOES.

WEST OF THE SURFACE LOW...ISOLATED HIGH BASED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED.  A FEW OF THESE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
WIND GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING SOUTHEAST LAS ANIMAS AND
   SOUTHWEST BACA COUNTIES.

A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS DEVELOPING OVER EXTREME NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO
AND THE FAR NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE.  THIS THUNDERSTORM IS
EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO MAINLY OPEN COUNTRY OF SOUTHEAST LAS ANIMAS AND
SOUTHWEST BACA COUNTIES THROUGH 145 PM MDT.

AT 101 PM MDT PUEBLO DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT THIS STRONG STORM WAS
25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF PRITCHETT MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS CAN BRING DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND MAY PRODUCE 1/2
INCH DIAMETER OR SMALLER HAIL...GUSTY` WINDS AROUND 40 MPH AND HEAVY
RAINFALL.
