LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND DAYTIME HEATING WILL COMBINE THIS AFTERNOON TO
PRODUCE WIDELY SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING THUNDERSTORMS OVER
THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS AND MOUNTAINS.  THE SAN LUIS VALLEY WILL SEE ONLY
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.  IN BACA...PROWERS...KIOWA...BENT...EASTERN
LAS ANIMAS...CROWLEY..AND OTERO COUNTIES A FEW STORMS MAY APPROACH
SEVERE LIMITS.  THE MAIN THREATS FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE LARGE HAIL.

OVER THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO
APPROACH SEVERE LIMITS.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IN THE COLORADO SPRINGS AND PUEBLO AREAS IS NOT

...STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHWEST EL PASO COUNTY...

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE PALMER LAKE AND
MONUMENT AREAS THROUGH 430 PM.  THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN
AND HAIL UP TO 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER.

AT 350 PM THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED FROM 8 MILES WEST OF MONUMENT TO
INTERSTATE 25 NEAR MONUMENT.  THIS LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 20
MPH.
