THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX AZ HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM MST FOR PEOPLE IN
THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN EAST-CENTRAL ARIZONA

  ...SOUTHERN GILA COUNTY
     INCLUDING THE TOWNS OF GLOBE AND MIAMI...AND ROOSEVELT LAKE

AT 245 PM STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WERE DEVELOPING
RAPIDLY OVER THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN GILA COUNTY.  THE LARGEST
STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE CITIES OF GLOBE AND MIAMI FROM THE
NORTHEAST.  A FEW OF THE THUNDERSTORMS NEAR CLAYPOOL HAVE REPORTEDLY 
PRODUCED LOCALIZED FLOODING AT 240 PM.

THUNDERSTORMS THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING WILL PRODUCE
HEAVY RAIN THAT WILL LEAD TO FLOODING OF CITY STREETS AND WASHES...
ESPECIALLY ALONG THE HIGHWAYS LEADING FROM GLOBE TO SUPERIOR AND n
LAKE ROOSEVELT.

MOTORISTS AND RESIDENTS IN SOUTHERN GILA COUNTY SHOULD REMAIN
ALERT FOR HEAVY RAINS AND HIGH FLOOD POTENTIAL. 

THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY IS POSTED FOR GILA COUNTY
UNTIL 630 PM.
