SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
 
   ...WESTERN SUFFOLK COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
AT 620 PM A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING INTO PORTIONS OF
WESTERN SUFFOLK COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES
AN HOUR AND HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN
HOUR ALONG WITH PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL.
 
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THfE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
