SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
 
   ...ROCKLAND COUNTY
 
DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ENTERING SOUTHERN ROCKLAND
COUNTY. THE STORM WAS JUST SOUTH OF SUFFERN AND MOVING NORTH AT 25 TO 30
MILES AN HOUR. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY
WINDS...HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND HAIL.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
