AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN 140 AM CDT MON MAY 27 1996 EXCITING WX SHAPING UP FOR MID STATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS AS ATMOSPHERE IS JUICED UP AND PRIMED FOR APPROACHING PLAINS SHORT WAVE. WILL ISSUE A BRIEF SPS AND MENTION STG/SVR STORM POTENTIAL THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR MID STATE. LOOKING AT ETA GRIDDED DATA VERY FAVORABLE SHEAR VECTORS ARE INDICATED OVER THE AREA THAT THE 94O CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK IS SHOWING MODERATE RISK FOR. THIS INCLUDES MUCH OF MID STATE. HIGH CAPES ARE ALSO ACROSS THIS SAME AREA. BELIEVE SELS HAS GOOD HANDLE ON SITUATION AT THIS TIME.
