FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONSS...

   ...WESTERN SANTA CLARA COUNTY...SANTA CRUZ COUNTY
 
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER THE PAST THREE HOURS OVER THE SANTA CRUZ MOUTAINS
HAVE RANGED FROM 2-4 INCHES. HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE OVER THE NEXT ONE
TO TWO HOURS WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES LIKELY. THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF MAJOR
URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING ALONG WITH MUDSLIDES IN THE SANTA CRUZ
MOUNTAINS OVER THE PAST TWO HOURS.
 
THE SAN LORENZO RIVER...SOQUEL CREEK AND CORRALITOS CREEK IN SANTA CRUZ
COUNTY ARE ALL EXPECTED EXPECTED TO RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. SOME TOWNS
IN DANGER OF FLOODING ARE SOQUEL...FELTON...BOULDER CREEK...SCOTTS
VALLEY AND FREEDOM. HIGHWAY 17 ALREADY HAD REPORTS OF SLIDES.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
