IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...ANOKA COUNTY...CHISAGO COUNTY...HENNEPIN COUNTY ...RAMSEY COUNTY...WASHINGTON COUNTY...DAKOTA COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN ...BARRON COUNTY...POLK COUNTY...RUSK COUNTY AT 1255 AM...RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 10 MILES EAST OF CAMBRIDGE TO JUST WEST OF THE TWIN CITIES. THESE STORMS WERE RAPIDLY MOVING EAST AT 40 TO 50 MPH AND WILL REACH DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS AND ST PAUL...THE CITY OF ANOKA AND CENTER CITY BY 115 AM. THE STORMS WILL THEN LIKELY AFFECT BALSAM LAKE...RICE LAKE AND LADYSMITH THROUGH 2 AM. RADAR IND:ICATES THE POTENTIAL FOR WIND GUSTS EXCEEDING 70 MPH WITH THESE STORMS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING. BE READY TO QUICKLY MOVE TO THE BASEMENT.
