000 TTAA00 KMOB 032212 SVRMOB ALC097-032315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 512 PM CDT WED JUL 3 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA ...NORTHERN MOBILE COUNTY MOBILE DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO THE NORTHERN SECTIONS OF MOBILE COUNTY. THIS STORM WILL MOVE SOUTH ALONG US HIGHWAY 43. THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM THIS STORM WILL BE FROM DIME SIZE AND LARGER HAIL WITH WIND GUSTS OF 60 MPH OR HIGHER. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTH AT 15 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
