THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA
 
   ...OKEECHOBEE COUNTY
 
AT 711 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN GLADES COUNTY..O19 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF BASINGER. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING
THIS TORNADO WAS RACING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH AND IS FORECASTED TO MOVE
JUST SOUTHEAST OF BASINGER BY 735 PM. THIS STORM WILL THEN CONTINUE TO
MOVE NORTHEAST AND THREATEN FT DRUM AFTER 755 PM.
 
THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS CONFIRMED TORNADOES ACROSS EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA
TODAY. RESIDENTS IN OKEECHOBEE COUNTY SHOULD SEEK SHELTER NOW.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF
THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER IF AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE GO TO
A SMALL INTER&IOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. AVOID
WINDOWS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING
OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
