000 TTAA00 KMLB 071249 TORMLB FLC127-071345- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL 845 AM EDT MON OCT 7 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA ...VOLUSIA COUNTY AT 850 AM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A INTENSIFYING HEAVY SHOWER JUST NORTHWEST OF DELTONA. THE SHOWER IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH AND STHE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE A SHORT-LIVED TORNADO THROUGH 950 AM. THE STORM WILL MOVE NEAR ORANGE CITY AND LAKE HELEN...AND WILL EVENTUALLY REACH THE COAST BETWEEN DAYTONA BEACH AND PONCE INLET. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED BUILDING.
