000 TTAA00 KMHX 031855 SVRMHX NCC133-031945- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEWPORT NC 253 PM EDT WED JUL 3 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEWPORT HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 345 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...ONSLOW COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS A SEVERE THUNDERSORM OVER PENDER COUNTY WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN ONSLOW COUNTY BY 300 PM AFFECTING HOLLY RIGDE AT THAT TIME. THIS STORM WILL THEN AFFECT DIXON AND SNEADS FERRY AROUND 315 PM...AND CAMP LEJEUNE BY 330 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
