THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN THE UPPER FLORIDA KEYS OF MONROE COUNTY...
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS INCLUDING FLORIDA BAY
 
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES THE POSSIBILITY OF
A TORNADO MOVING ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE UPPER KEYS.
INDICATIONS ARE THAT THE TORNADO WILL PASS ACROSS THE KEYS FROM THE
ATLANTIC SIDE SLOWLY TOWARD THE SOUTHWEST AT BETWEEN 5 TAND 10 MPH.
 
THIS WILL MOST LIKELY AFFECT RESIDENTS IN COMMUNITIES FROM NEAR TAVERNIESOUTHWARD TO PLANTATION KEY BETWEEN NOW AND SHORTLY AFTER 9 AM
THIS MORNING.
 
THE PUBLIC AND MARINE INTERESTS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY
IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES.
 
IN SCHOOL...FOLLOW TORNADO PLANS OR MOVE TO AN INTERIOR HALLWAY AWAY
FROM WINDOWS. IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE...DO NOT
REMAIN IN THE CAFETERIA...GYMNASIUM OR PORTABLE CLASSROOM BUT SEEK
SHELTER ELSEWHERE IN THE SCHOOL.
