THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  400 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA
 
   ...EASTERN DADE COUNTY
 
AT 315 PM EDT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS APROACHING THE SWEETWATER AND KENDALL AREAS
OF MIAMI FROM THE WEST. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM COULD PRODUCE LARGE
DAMAGING HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAIN ALONG WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND
STRONG GUSTY WINDS. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 10 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR 
 
DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. SEEK
SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. DO NOT USE
TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES.2
